Welcome to Commerce Island. Stand back! They're trying SCIENCE here! The second population center of the Seafoam Archipelago, Island Seven is much more of an industrial zone, containing most of the region's ports and military manufacturing plants. On the northwestern shore of the island, a small area has been set aside for the more affluent Seafoam citizens to set up their residences. This segment is where Island Seven's Gym, which doubles as a research and development center, is located.



Locations In Town

Commerce Gym
A three-way combination of Seafoam's seventh Gym, a military research and development center, and the Gym Leader's home, this Gym is run by Giselle. The military research division is off-limits to trainers, who would be more interested in the puzzles to reach her anyway. Upon arrival, potential challengers will have been issued an Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device, which they must then use to navigate a series of puzzles to reach Giselle. Her team is a mixture of Ground, Steel, and Rock types. Successful trainers earn themselves the Portal Badge. The APSHD must be returned before leaving the Gym.

Commercial Ports
All manner of import and export business to Seafoam is handled here, separated from the more tourist-inclined islands. Given that it is still a small nation, the Republic of Seafoam can afford to be quite stringent on its port security and inspects all incoming cargo.



Locations Around Town

Intercoastal Highway
One of the common methods to travel from island to island in the Republic of Seafoam is to use the Intercoastal Highway, a United States-style interstate system that connects all eight islands. It is not merely limited to those with automobile transportation; the entire length of the highway also has adjoining roads built for foot and bicycle traffic.
