With great power comes great responsibility. wrote:Venu [Male Venusaur] — Is it okay if we only avoid the end?
Venu is Paige's starter, whom she received when she was twelve. Instead of traveling extensively, Paige trained Venu on Cinnabar, her home, as well as in the Sevii Islands. She decided that she would get Venu to evolve fully before ever traveling out to gain her badges. Venu is extremely protective of Paige and hates strangers, especially males. He is a bit stubborn and he acts like a much older Pokémon in his ways, rather than a younger rambunctious type. He loves Paige dearly, seeing her has a mother and a daughter, and he will protect her at all costs. He does not get along with Paige's traveling companion, Joshua.
—Received in Pallet Town from Professor Oak.
Ability: Overgrow
Nature: Adamant
Move Pool: Double-Edge, Growth, Hidden Power (Fire), Razor Leaf, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, SolarBeam, Sweet Scent, Vine Whip
Neu [Magneton] — Only when two brilliantly shine as one.
Neu is extremely passionate about battles, which Paige couldn't be happier about. Neu is a good contender and knows how to handle itself when the going gets tough. Paige captured Neu as a Magnemite after it had been abandoned by its first Trainer and it has been loyal to her ever sense. Sadly enough, Neu has no interest in evolving just yet. Paige is content to let the Pokémon remain as it is. Often times, Paige will slip up and refer to the Pokémon as a male.
—Captured on Cinnabar Island.
Ability: Analytic
Nature: Brave
Move Pool: Charge Beam, Discharge, Gyro Ball, Lock On, Magnet Bomb, Metal Sound, Rollout, Shockwave, SonicBoom, Thunderbolt
Jabon [Male Magmar] - I don't like illusions, I can't see them clearly.
Jabon was an early addition to Paige's team and he has been with her for almost as long at Venu. He's very down to earth and hates when things are misleading. When challenged with a foe that knows this, Paige is his anchor in the fray of battle. Despite this, however, Jabon is a strong fighter. He has a inherent fear of water and, since Paige grew up on an island, she has long since been trying to train that out of him.
—Captured in the Pokémon Mansion.
Ability: Flame Body
Nature: Timid
Move Pool: Brick-Break, Cross Chop, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Focus Punch, Hidden Power (Grass), Lava Plume, Sunny Day, Thunderpunch, Toxic
Saku [Female Shuckle] — You're easy breezy~!
Saku is anything but your average Shuckle. Instead of being shy and hiding away in her shell, she's extremely curious and inquisitive. She often gets herself stuck in situations she can't get out of! Opponents tend to find her frustrating in battle, because she doesn't seem to take it seriously. Saku's biggest gimmick is her usage of the move Dig, which she uses to hide and defend from attacks. Saku can sometimes fall out of wanting to be in the battles she partakes in, getting bored with the "game" at hand.
—Captured on Fortune Island.
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Quirky
Move Pool: Bug Bite, Earthquake, Encore, Dig, Gyro Ball, Power Trick, Rest, Rock Smash, Toxic, Withdraw
Chelle [Female Vaporeon] — Show me the meaning of peace and love.
Great friends with Saku, Chelle is also a bit more laid back than most. She, however, isn't as silly as Saku is, but is more calm and collected. She tends to leap at the chance to battle, though, and enjoys the adrenaline rush it brings. She sometimes will carry Saku on her back and they tend to do well in double battles. Chelle is adept at interfering with the natural sense of a battle, employing hit and run tactics in the form of Haze and Double Team.
—Received on Cinnabar Island from Sophie Hamilton.
Ability: Water Absorb
Nature: Jolly
Move Pool: Acid Armor, Bite, Double Team, Haze, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Last Resort, Protect, Scald, Water Pulse
Dots [Ditto] — Viva, viva the revolution!
Dots is the oddball of Paige's team, but Dots loves it. Paige will send Dots out when she wants to confuse her opponent and break their strategy. Dots finds great pleasure in frustrating opponent's Pokémon. Because one of her leads is a Ditto, Paige spends a lot of her spare time going over the move sets of Pokémon she doesn't own so she'll have a rough idea of what to use when Dots uses Transform. When Dots isn't battling, it enjoys snoozing, and sometimes asks to be left out of its Poké Ball to travel along side Paige.
—Captured in the Pokémon Mansion.
Ability: Limber
Nature: Naive
Move Pool: Transform

Emotions and memories we've written down... wrote:Edge [Male Pidgeotto] — I'm on the edge of glory and I'm hanging on a moment with you.
Paige captured Edge in a brutal battle in Viridian Forest. The Pokémon is brash and very young, but he provides the most needed speed on Paige's team when she uses him. He is exceedingly proud of his abilities and he never puts up with shit from anyone. When Paige first captured him, he was in total disdain of her, hating his Trainer with ever fiber of his being. After training, he became incredibly loyal to Paige. Neither he nor Paige can wait for him to evolve into a Pidgeot, as they are both excited about his abilities to come.
—Captured in Viridian Forest.
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Rash
Move Pool: Aerial Ace, Brave Bird, Double-Edge, Hidden Power (Ground), Mirror Move, Quick Attack, Return, Steel Wing, Substitute, Thief

Why should I worry? Why should I care? wrote:Appearance and stature wise, Paige is a combination of average and flamboyant. On average, she's a standard height of five feet, six inches tall. Her eyes are a simple hazel and her skin is a tad tanned from being out in the sun too long. The flamboyance comes from her dyed blue hair, which is styled up into a ponytail.
Growing up in a tropical, island climate, Paige prefers to wear light clothing that gives her a free range of movement. She wears a violet shawl made from a light fabric and, under that, she wears a short, black tank top. Her midriff is revealed. Her shorts are frayed khakis and her combat-style boots are an army-green.

All things are real unless you dream they're not. wrote:Paige is many things. She's stubborn, bull-headed and determined. She can be rude, to the point that people get frustrated with her, throw up their arms and walk away. She takes some things very seriously, such as battle and food. Don't ask her why, but cooking is just a damn serious thing. You don't fool around with cooking.
When she's not battling or being serious and stubborn, she can be quite friendly. Only, she has a tendency to be blunt and that turns some people off from befriending her. Some people tend to think she's a bit of a bitch, due to her bluntness, but she really only speaks her mind. Nothing much to it.

Trainer Class: Hiker
Owen is a jolly man and he's prone to slapping people on the back when he first meets them, which, considering his size, can sometimes be painful. He makes his living selling tourist trinkets to the people that pass through Cinnabar. He's a bit gruff and rowdy. He used to rough house with Paige and battle with her some before she left.
Name: Sophie Hamilton — The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention.
Age: 40
Gender: Female
Relationship: Mother
Trainer Orientation: Neutral Good
Trainer Class: Ordinary Lady
Soft-spoken and kind, Sophie spends most of her time taking care of her young son Arte. She is quite proud of her daughter for finally managing to go on her journey and she's always regretting not being able to help her set out when Paige was younger.
Name: Arte Hamilton — I assume that to prevent illness in later life, you should never have been born at all.
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Relationship: Younger Brother
Trainer Orientation: Neutral
Trainer Class: Poké Kid
Arte is Paige's bedridden younger brother. He has had asthma since birth, but when he was five, he contracted pneumonia from a classmate. The sickness weakened his already weak lungs further and confined him to his bed. He spends most of his time reading books or playing in his room with Dundun.

Follow your heart and find your destiny. wrote:Growing up on Cinnabar Island, Paige lived a life of watching tourists come and go. Her parents ran one of those stores that sell trinkets and souvenirs, and she often had to help out. At first, Paige had no real interest in battling. It wasn't until she saw a boy challenge Blaine that her interest grew. Watching Blaine and that boy duke it out lit a fire in her somewhere.
For the next few years, she dreamed of nothing more than receiving her own starter from Professor Oak across the sea. She wasn't able, however, to receive her starter until she was almost twelve. Her brother, Arte, whom had been bedridden since youth, had grown ill again, and her parents hadn't had the money to pay for passage to Pallet. Around her twelfth birthday, however, a friend of the family visited and offered to ferry her to Pallet and back upon his own Lapras. Thus, Paige was able to receive her own starter, a Bulbasaur.
Back home, Paige began training her starter against the Fire-types of Cinnabar. She figured that training a Pokémon against its weakness would make it stronger yet and the method proved to stick well with her Bulbasaur, which she named Venu in hopes it would someday grow strong and become a powerful Venusaur.
For years, Paige would spend time training upon Cinnabar, or when her family would take trips to Sevii Islands in hopes to improve Arte's health, she would train there. She and Venu made a promise, they would set out to collect the badges of the regions on the day he evolved into a Venusaur. Over time, Paige would assemble herself a team and, not long after her own seventeenth birthday, Venu finally evolved into a Venusaur.
In celebration, Paige took her team up to Blaine's Gym and challenged him, coming out on top after a grueling three-on-three. Using some of the funds from her victory, Paige paid for her passage to Pallet Town once more. Bidding her family farewell, she set off.
Traveling from Pallet Town to Viridian City, Paige saw just how different mainland Kanto was. On her way to Viridian Gym to challenge Agatha, Paige bumped into a fellow trainer named Joshua Taylor. After some chat, they got into a friendly five-on-five battle, which ended with Josh as the victor. Paige, on a whim, suggested the travel together. It was agreed that they ought.
Both of them then, in due time, won their Earth Badges from Agatha. In high spirits and with high hopes, the two of them then shortly journeyed to Viridian Forest so that they could head to Pewter City beyond. In Viridian Forest, Paige managed to capture Edge, her Pidgeotto, hoping he would help her balance out the lack of speed in their team.
Josh and Paige are now currently on their way to Pewter and both hope to receive their badges from Brock shortly!

Stop chasing after the whereabouts of pride. wrote:Paige came to an abrupt halt as the turtle Pokémon rocketed towards her. Then, she found not only a smallish blue Pokémon before her, but a brown-dressed boy, and he toppled head over heels at her feet like an ungainly newborn Ponyta. Well. This was unexpected. She sighed. Not to mention frustrating. Of course, it was an accident, but still, people should keep a closer eye on things.
"Uh, sorry about that... My Wartortle is rather playful sometimes. He nabbed my backpack without me noticing."
Paige smirked lopsidedly. "Some people aren't attentive when it comes to Pokémon."
She had, of course, not meant it to be as rude as it sounded. But the fact of the matter was, she didn't care how wrong her comments could be taken. She never was concerned with trivialities such as the ability of expression. Bluntness was something she valued and, in her opinion, being blunt wasn't the same as being rude, it was just being honest.
Dots, however, was a bit more clever than its mistress and it glanced over to the Sceptile of to the side. With a dopey grin, it slid from Paige's shoulder and settled at her feet in front of the boy. With a bit of a glow, it transformed into a miniature image of the Sceptile, laughing just as hysterically as the Grass-type was doing.
"Scep-ep-ep-ep-ep-ep," came the small imitator's cackle, albeit a bit higher pitched than the other Pokémon's own tenor.
"Heh. Nice one, Dots."
