To her great distress, Alyssa has yet to acquire a Pokémon.

Even though she's fourteen, Alyssa stands a bare five feet tall, the shortest in her class. Her hair is bright reddish pink, which is quite the opposite of her siblings' blonde locks, and she most often ties it back with a large pink ribbon, which causes her to have a short, poofy ponytail. Alyssa's eyes are amber in color, similar to her siblings and her parents.

Clothing-wise, Alyssa favors bright colors. Unaware that she fully embraces her southern roots, her favorite outfits generally involve over-alls in the standard blue denim with a yellow shirt under it. Her shoes vary between boots, for when she's working on the ranch, and sneakers, for when she's at school or about town. She also likes bandannas. Alyssa's clothing is almost always accented with apple decorations of some kind.

Very brave and resourceful, Alyssa is anything but the little kid that people, including her siblings on occasion, make her out to be... at least, she likes to think that. While not half as worldly as she wishes she was, Alyssa constantly seeks to broaden her horizons and achieve new goals. Despite her independence, she is very close to her sister, Autumn, and enjoys helping her with the farm chores. She is very adamant about finding her first Pokémon and often goes traipsing off into the wilderness in search of a critter to call her own.

One could say that Alyssa's ambition often gets her in trouble. She has been stuck in the wilds of Kentucky seventeen times, has gotten trapped in an abandoned mine twice, and stuck up a tree four times. Often, it's up to her siblings to track her down and rescue her from her failed find-my-Pokémon shenanigans. Nevertheless, Alyssa has never been deterred or disheartened enough to give up, and she knows one day, possibly tomorrow, she'll find the Pokémon that's just right for her.

Born ten years after Autumn and fourteen after Macintosh, Alyssa is the last of the Carver children and obviously the youngest. Alyssa spent her youth on the Carver Ranch, just off of Apple Lane in Jamestown, Kentucky. Born in a small town and raised in a small town, Alyssa is very much the southern girl and has been since her birth. She makes no effort to conceal it, even, and talks with a pronounced twang to her words.

Very close to her sister, Alyssa has been practically glued to Autumn since she could get about on her own. As such, she almost always helps A.J. with any chores that need doing and is a right good help on the ranch. When she was born, however, Mac was not around, having left on his own journey across the lands. As such, one could say Alyssa didn't attach to Mac as much during her childhood, simply because he wasn't there, but she still gets along well enough with her older brother now, and loves him dearly.

Still, while Mac was characterized by his wanderlust and Autumn by her love of the ranch, Alyssa was best personified with her ambition. It didn't matter what it was, Alyssa has a hard-headed knack for throwing herself into something with full spirits and fervor. School, chores and other tasks were just the start. From since she turned ten, in fact, she has been enamored with getting a Pokémon all of her own.

Autumn manages to keep Alyssa on track, though, especially as far as school is concerned, since Alyssa has a very good head on her shoulders and is very smart. She may be the shortest and the only one in her class to not have a Pokémon of their own, but she is also the smartest in her class. ...Though, one could wonder how much of an achievement that is, given Jamestown's population of two-thousand. Still, Alyssa is unsure what she wants to do with her life after high school, though she dearly loves the ranch.
