Originally purchased as a nanny-Pokémon for Ayaka's younger brother by her parents, Iincho is now under Ayaka's care and acts as a member of the girl's team. Iincho reflects Ayaka's wealthy personality and her regality... but also her mothership of younger children. In fact, Iincho is as prone to mothering youngsters as Ayaka is. This does not diminish Iincho's ability as a fighter, though.

While very little is known about Ayaka's past, what is known is a defining feature of her character. A rich girl born into a life of luxury, she immediately becomes obsessed with her young teacher Negi Springfield from the moment of his arrival, a fact which leads to scornful accusations about her being obsessed with little boys, but which is actually due to an early tragedy in her life.

Following graduating, Ayaka took a position in the Yukihiro Conglomerate, her father's business, and is quickly and swiftly racing through the ranks in positions of power.
