Pokédex Entry: A rare fish that evolves only after fully trusting its caretaker, Tankton is known for being rather bullheaded and for having a huge appetite.

A broad, long fish, Tankton are massive, longer than the average human is tall. Their blue metallic fins give of bright light when sunlight reflects off their bodies. Like Neonite, they too have small bits of scale that illuminate and glow, typically red or teal in color. Unlike Neonite, Tankton can cause these scales to dim down in color. With a massive, frowning maw, they plod along through the river depths. Shiny Tankton are a metallic purple in color.

Etymology: Tankton is a combination of the words tank and plankton.
Gender Differences: None.
Special Abilities: Tankton's body emits bright neon light, but it is otherwise mundane.
Behavior: They live in warm tropical rivers, and are popular as pets because of their bright colors. Steel-hard scales have protected this Pokémon since prehistoric times. A single hit from its head is enough to sink any boat. Unlike their pre-evolved form, Tankton do not prefer to school and instead travel solitarily, only coming together during mating season to spawn. Surly Pokémon, they frown up as land-walkers from underneath the surface of the water and shoot attacks from the protection of the middle depths.
Habitat: Tropics, primarily in the rainforests of the equator.
Diet: While omnivores like their pre-evolved form, Tankton are hunters of their own right and prefer eating smaller fish, crustaceans and a multitude of insects. When kept as pets or in aquariums, they require live food to thrive. An ambush predator, they sink into the murk or mud of the river in search of their food.
