Standing just as tall as the other Water-type starters, Finjoy is a jovial looking Pokémon. A small, blue dolphin, this bipedal creature's squat body and stubby legs lend themselves to doing well both on land and off it, while its powerful tail helps it maneuver swiftly while in the water. A light blue life preserver around its neck serves as both a clown's frilled collar and as a flotation device. Its face and arms are white, with its face being marked in such a way that it almost looks like a clown's painted mask. Lastly, a tiny fin juts out from the back of its head. Shiny Finjoy are darker blue in color, with yellow markings.

Etymology: Finjoy is a combination of the words fin and joy.

Gender Differences: None.

Special Abilities: Juggling.

Behavior: Jovial Pokémon, Finjoy are friendly to nearly all people and Pokémon, doing their best to put smiles on faces and cheer up sad individuals. They are not shy at all, with even wild Finjoy approaching people to juggle things or perform circus jaunts for a laugh. Pods of the small Pokémon are not uncommon on coastlines, where they live on the shore so as to be able to access the ocean and the beach. While they most often juggle rocks, one of the easiest ways to capture a Finjoy is to offer to let it juggle Poke Balls.

Habitat: Shorelines along the Atlantic Ocean, but not extending north of the arctic circle or south of the antarctic circle.

Diet: Omnivorous, but constrained mostly to sea-life.
