Pokédex Entry: Syclar typically live at the feet of tall, snow-capped mountains. From the day they hatch, they aspire to someday scale the tallest of peaks. Syclar celebrate the onset of winter by coming out of their summer burrows and using their small, sharp claws to skate on the fresh river ice.

A crystalline creature, Syclar's hard outer shell is teal in color. The ice that protrudes from their body is very cold to the touch. They bear six legs that end in singular white claws. The stinger on their bum is also made of ice, the interior of which glows with light for some of their attacks, similar to a Volbeat or Illumise's bum. Syclar watch the world with two large, doll like eyes. Shiny Syclar are noted as being light blue rather than teal.

Etymology: Syclar is a combination of the words scythe, icicle and larva.

Gender Differences: None.

Special Abilities: None.

Behavior: Syclar are inquisitive little bugs with no notion of boundary. They will sneak into any place they find to get a better look at things. They are very noble, swarming together to defend others of their kind or Pokémon (and sometimes even humans) that are in trouble. They have a tendency to eat ice with abandon, crunching on it whenever they find it. They also have no notion of their size. Like most ants, they can carry things ten to forty times their weight. They tend to form large hives (which look like ice-sculpture ant hills) where they live with hundreds of their species at once.

Habitat: Syclar live in the frozen ice caves of the world.

Diet: Syclar eat ice primarily, but they can subside off of normal food-stuffs as well. They just prefer eating ice.
