Pokédex Entry: A Pokémon native to very small swatches of land, Embrina are not common companions with the average person. Only hardy collectors and tough-as-nails competitors take the time to seek out this viable Pokémon in its faraway homelands.
A small canine Pokémon, Embrina is no larger than a Poochyena or a Growlithe. They are covered in a thick, coarse red-brown coat of fur that provides excellent warmth in the cold climates they usually inhabit. Said fur covers their forelegs, body, neck, head and tail, leaving their hind legs, stomach and face bare. The rest of their body is white and black, patterned in splotches. Their face is masked with black and red-brown, while their little white and black ears are perky and stand up like some canine breeds. Shiny Embrina are slightly whiter with blue fur.
Etymology: Embrina is a combination of the words ember and hyena.

Behavior: A pack animal, Embrina and Glaciare live in a matriarchal society. Packs can number as high as fifty before they begin to fragment off and form new groups. Embrina are much more playful than Glaciare, as they are usually still pups whilst in this form. Embrina are not unfriendly to humans, though they are typically wary and will keep their distance if they think something is up. Embrina are always seen in groups, and it is incredibly rare to find one on its own.
Habitat: Siberia and far north Japan.
Diet: Small mammals and scavenged game.
