Pokédex Entry: A fish commonly found in the open oceans, they can live in schools of up to 100,000 members. They are very quick, darting around in such a way that makes their scales glint underwater.

A moderately sized fish, Speedish is teal in color with four fins, two on top and two on its side, and a rotund little body. Their tail and the masking around their nose and eyes are pale in color, a green-tinged white tone. Though they do not seem to lend themselves to speed visibly, Speedish possess very strong muscles at the base of their tail which allows them to propel themselves forward at amazing speeds while they use their angular fins to steer. Shiny Speedish are red-violet in color.

Etymology: Speedish is a combination of the words speed and fish.
Gender Differences: None.
Special Abilities: Speedish are some of the fastest fish in the sea and are known to swim at a speed of 90mph.
Behavior: A schooling Pokémon at heart, Speedish travel in schools of the thousand. They swim primarily in open waters, but are sometimes seen near kelp beds, taking advantage of resident populations of smaller fish which remove ectoparasites from their skin. Friendly to humans and non-prey Pokémon, they often swim around ships and scuba divers and put on displays of joy and speed.
Habitat: Speedish are native to the temperate and tropical waters of every ocean in the world. Speedish are most often found in water warmer than 10 °C (50 °F); prolonged periods spent in water at temperatures of 12 °C (54 °F) or lower can lead to disorientation and eventual death.
Diet: The diet of Speedish consists primarily of various jellyfish. It also consumes salps, squid, crustaceans, small fish, fish larvae, and eelgrass. This range of food items indicates that Speedish feeds at many levels, from the surface to deep water, and occasionally down to the seafloor in some areas. The diet is nutritionally poor, forcing Speedish to consume a large amount of food to grow in size.
