Pokédex Entry: It uses rocks and stones as a shell shield, encasing the Shellock safely in the middle. They look like any ordinary pile of rock, until stepped on.

A small mound of rock and pebbles, Shellock looks to the world as if it were nothing more than a mount of rocks one could stub their toe on. In truth, Shellock itself is a small black critter much smaller than the rocks that make up its exterior. It has a rounded head and a tiny face with sharp teeth used for grounding up stone and earth. The rest of its body is a gelatinous membrane that sticks them to the rocks they accumulate, and they have no discernible limbs. Shellock can vary from region to region vastly, depending on what type and family of rock are found in the area, with some favoring granite and others favoring schist. They also vary in size, but they never tend to be smaller than a foot or so.

Etymology: Shellock is a combination of the words shell and rock.
Gender Differences: None.
Special Abilities: Shellock's Closed Form is triggered when the Pokémon knows the move Withdraw. It reverts back when the move is unlearned. Its Closed Form changes its stats as seen below.
Behavior: Avoiding human contact at all costs, Shellock gathers rocks and rubble and pebbles to itself and hides itself away from the world. Though the actual Pokémon is rather small, it slowly assimilates stone and earth into its being, growing larger until it eventually evolves. Shellock prefer to live solitary lives, moving slowly across caves or fissures to collect new rocks to add to their collection and shell. When encountered, they almost always withdraw into their shell and throw rocks at humans or Pokémon to deter them. Most people run into Shellock on accident, by tripping over the poor creature as they explore some cave or canyon.
Habitat: Shellock live almost exclusively in caves and canyons, or anywhere that loose rocks are in abundance. They have been sighted worldwide. That being said, they are most often found inland, away from shorelines and lakes, and they generally are sparse in areas with heavy rainfall.
Diet: Shellock absorb minerals from the earth and stones that make up their shell. When a stone is used in full, the now brittle rock is shed, making new dirt or sand, and the Shellock finds a new rock to replace the lost once. they will eat man made food when they are raised by humans, but they tend to prefer their earthen delights.
