Pokédex Entry: A rare Pokémon that lives underground for hibernation periods lasting years. It evolved in ancient times from whales and became a land mammal. The drill on its nose allows it to burrow swiftly.

Colossoil have a somewhat rounded cuboid shape, for lack of a better term. The skin on their underbelly is a darker beige color, which eventually reaches the sides and upper and forearms of the Pokémon, changing to a much more significantly darker shade of fallow. This brown skin however, creates a zigzag pattern just above its devilishly red eyes, coinciding with the other end of the zigzag, which is an unexpected shade of asparagus green. Sometimes, these zigzag patterns aren't perfect, and the odd square or triangular blotch appears on the opposite shade of skin. The fingers, hands and sometimes parts of the forearm are also tinted with the asparagus green shade.

One of Colossoil's most prominent and noticeable features is a huge, boring drill at the tip of its forehead that it uses for both burrowing and attacking. It is, as one would expect, a shade of ivory. It also has three less prominent but still intimidating spikes running the length of its back. Sometimes, a Colossoil may present with ever so slight red markings across parts of its body. They are wispy, thin and barely noticeable sometimes, and don't tend to be present from Pokémon to Pokémon. Much like the mystery surrounding a Dugtrio, nobody has ever documented definitive proof of what physiology a Colossoil presents beneath its stomach, for it is never seen above ground. It is a closely guarded secret among the Pokémon, and has always eschewed going above ground.

Etymology: Colossoil is a combination of the words colossus and soil.

Gender Differences: Female Colossoil have wavier patterns and less scarring.

Special Abilities: None

Behavior: Aggressive and invasive, Colossoil care very little for how they may inconvenience humans or Pokémon alike. They are known to burrow huge underground networks, much like how Durant do, only on a much larger and potentially more devastating scale. This causes absolute hell for settlements in deserts, that may rely on a local oasis, or particularly in a swamp or fen, where a burrowing Colossoil may accident flood its own tunnel, consequently draining the swamp. This same calamity occurs in lakes and oases. Aside from its evolutionary perfect drill, a Colossoil has near impenetrable thick skin.

Habitat: Colossoil generally go where they please, but tends to be farther from seas, or places with plenty of lakes. They do require water to survive, but are more prone to a hot and arid land.

Diet: Colossoil will eat whatever they can find. Usually, this tends to be small mammals and reptiles, though they will eat roots, stones, and even dirt if they so wish.
