Pokédex Entry: Inquisitive and intelligent, Fayrator along with its male counterpart, Vesperator, were terrors of the ancient world. Vesperator is blind, but possesses a fine-tuned sense of hearing, so much so that it can hear the heartbeat of creatures hundreds of feet below ground.

Standing roughly shorter than a human, Vesperator are sleek reptilian creatures that are covered in blue scales and black striping. They have absolutely no eyes, bearing a hard growth over their face, masking their vision. Their bellies are the same color as their bodies and their tails in a black tip. Shiny Vesperator are a tawny brown in color. Vesperator's bodies are lithe and well build, showing off sinewy muscle and all the ability to run for miles without tiring.

Etymology: Vesperator is a combination of the words vesper and raptor.

Gender Differences: None. Vesperator is an all male species. Fayrator is its female companion species.

Special Abilities: Vesperator are blind and bear no eyes of any kind. Their attribute as Ground-type and their large brain and hearing cavity, however, suggests that they bear the ability to sense vibrations in the earth and air around them and react to things moving. It is suggested that this ability is so developed they can even feel the vibration of a heartbeat miles from their location at higher levels.

Behavior: Vesperator are curious creatures, often inspecting new things and learning quite quickly. They are very protective fathers, chasing people who harm their young to extreme distances. Males are the submissive to females in their packs, which can range to sizes upwards ten to fifteen. Given males are blind and have what basically amounts to tremorsense, they often are the scouts and defenders of the edges of the pack.

Habitat: Vesperator are fossil Pokémon and are revived from the Scythe Fossil. These fossils are found in the Mongolian Region.

Diet: Small to large animals, depending on pack size.
