Pokédex Entry: It uses the leaf on its head to blend with surrounding foliage, making it nearly invisible in the forest. The seeds on its tail are hollow. It rattles them together to intimidate opponents. Though it prides itself on its tail seeds, it will resort to eating them if other food is scarce. They grow back quickly.
Brattler are much, much shorter in length than their evolved forms. A fully outstretched Brattler is about the length of your average radiator. Though they retain the classic chocolate and caramel colored scales that Malaconda also possess, they also have the iconic creamy scales on their underbelly, though theirs are not blemished with dark-brown markings like Malaconda. They possess four small, emerald spikes running down the length of the back of their body, unlike the nine their evolved forms have.
They have a small leaf-shaped protrusion between their eye sockets, this too a deep shade of emerald. What this feature serves is anyone's guess. Their tails, however, is a spiked mass that looks somewhat like a mixture between a palm tree forming and a traditional spiked mace from medieval times. Finally, a Brattler has small, fork-shaped tongue that is almost always visible.
Etymology: Brattler is a combination of the words brat, an irritant youth, and rattler.
Gender Differences: None.
Special Abilities: A fruit grows on its tale, that when ripe, causes evolution.
Behavior: Brattler are outright bullies. They pick on smaller Pokémon who are often easy pickings, mostly out of pure entertainment. They also deceive and confuse using hypnotic and rhythmic dances, again just to attack for fun.
Habitat: Forests and jungles that are thick with flora, but is almost exclusively found in Colombia. Reports of sighted Brattler have been claimed in Venezuela, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Trinidad and Tobago, and as far west as Brazil.
Diet: Though presumed to be carnivorous, it's been documented that Brattler simply eat their tail fruit.
