Pokédex Entry: The fruit that grows from the end of its tail is the most delicious fruit in existence. It entices both people and Pokémon. It brings out greed and desire in those that it meets. It delights in spreading chaos. A forest inhabited by Malaconda is lush and full of fruit. Other Pokémon that live there are hostile and distrusting.
Malaconda is a primarily chocolate brown, serpentine Pokémon. Its underbelly is beige, while its back has yellow patches a third and two thirds down its body. Small, circular blotches can be seen on each scale of its underbelly, and it has narrow yellow eyes. There are two pointed yellow extensions on its head that look like leafy ears. They are not - a Malaconda's ears are not externally visible. There are three sets of three thick, green spikes protruding from the creatures back, all of which leads to the Pokémon's tail - the tip of which bears fruit. The fruit is a hearty yellow apple and is coveted by humans.
Etymology: Malaconda is a combination of the words mal, French for bad, or malice and anaconda.
Gender Differences: None.
Special Abilities: Malaconda have the very rare and distinct ability to bring out greed, gluttony and temptation in both humans and Pokémon as though it were a habit.
Behavior: Because Malaconda are capable of actively toying with other creatures emotions, it is not surprising that Malaconda live on their own, very out of the way. Though incredibly rare, a surprising amount of research has been conducted on this Pokémon. They appear to enjoy wreaking chaos, and reaping the rewards as such. They have been poached by native Colombians for their highly sought after fruit.
Habitat: Forests and jungles that are thick with flora, but is almost exclusively found in Colombia. Reports of sighted Malaconda have been claimed in Venezuela, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Trinidad and Tobago, and as far west as Brazil.
Diet: Though presumed to be carnivorous, it's been documented that Malaconda simply eat their tail fruit.
