N-no... I don't want to b-battle... they're my fr-friends... wrote:Biscotti [Male Albino Buizel] — I looked at the world through apple eyes and cut myself a slice of sunshine pie.
Energetic and friendly, Biscotti is Mina's loyal friend. He would do anything to protect the shy girl and he'll stay at her side no matter the cost. Biscotti is a bit young, though, and he can be very playful. He often tries to get Mina out of her shell, which she's usually fine with doing around him because she trusts him so. Typically, Biscotti can be seen riding on Mina's shoulders or in her arms. He is prone to not staying in his Poké Ball and sleeping with Mina at night, tucked against her side. Biscotti is what sparked Mina's interest in albino Pokémon, and, as such, he is the reason she is currently looking for more.
—Befriended at the Valley Windworks.
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature: Brave
Move Pool: Agility, Aqua Jet, Quick Attack, Swift, Water Gun
Vanilla [Female Vulpix] — A thousand sugar stars. Oh, put them in a jar.
Vanilla is a fiery, determined little Vulpix. She's dead set on proving to Mina she can be a powerful asset to the team and she's actually quite right. Vanilla is a good fighter. The only problem is, Mina is still shy about using her team in battles. Vanilla tries, nevertheless, and does her best to prove herself to the young girl. She is probably the best fighter on Mina's entire team, if one were to face the facts.
—Befriended in Veilstone City.
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Sassy
Move Pool: Confuse Ray, Fire Spin, Flame Burst, Quick Attack, Safeguard
Maraschino [Female Cherrim] — In springtime I grew a magic song... then skipping along, I sang the song to everyone.
Bouncy and playful, Maraschino, or Maras, is a clown. She is still much too young to be interested in battle or much anything else than enjoying her time with Mina. Maraschino is a bit mischievous, often getting herself in trouble with other Pokémon, but Mina doesn't entirely mind. Maraschino makes her laugh. She is best friends with Patch, spending most of her time with the Pachirisu. Maras likes bitter foods the most and she often steals from Mina's supplies.
—Befriended in Veilstone City.
Ability: Flower Gift
Nature: Naive
Move Pool: Growth, Magical Leaf, Morning Sun, Petal Dance, Sunny Day
Patchouli [Male Pachirisu] — I see for millions of miles. The sun's a diamond shining in the nighttime of a summer day.
Patchouli, or Patch, is Maraschino's partner in crime. Only, Patch is twice the mischievous little blighter that Maras is. Patchouli often gets himself into trouble with humans and he is a bit of a thief. He likes shiny objects almost as much as a Murkrow might and he tries to run off with them all the time. Patch is prone to riding on Mina's shoulders like Biscotti is. He, however, typically stays in his Poké Ball, unlike the Buizel. Patch is also Mina's first actual capture, which she made with her brother's assistance. His tail is the reverse of most of his breed.
—Captured on Route 205.
Ability: Pickup
Nature: Impish
Move Pool: Bide, Charm, Growl, Quick Attack, Spark
Fritter [Male Albino Farfetch'd] — I met a golden swan upon the road... who was a handsome prince, so I was told.
Fritter is a defensive little Farfetch'd, a rarity among an already rare breed of Pokémon, Mina does her best to protect him, though he does not really need it. He's fully capable of taking care of himself and he, like Vanilla, has a knack for battling. Fritter is perhaps Mina's second best fighter, tied for the spot with Biscotti. He is also the second albino Pokémon found and the second Pokémon she captured altogether. In truth, she loves Fritter quite a lot... and he loves her.
—Befriended in Jubilife City.
Ability: Keen Eye
Nature: Bold
Move Pool: Aerial Ace, Fury Attack, Fury Cutter, Knock Off, Poison Jab
Scone [Male Gligar] — Oh, there are rose-coloured skylines... where flying silver spoons eat melting marmalade moons.
The last of Mina's party, Scone is like Biscotti. He wants to ensure that Mina stays safe and free from harm. Mina was a bit scared of him at first, but he's entirely friendly, she found, and she loves him very dearly. Scone can have a bit of a rough side and he'll often tussle with Patch. The Gligar is one of Mina's least seasoned Pokémon... and he seems to have little interest in battle. (Which, in truth, is fine with Mina. She doesn't battle much in the first place.) Scone has an affinity towards Bedford, often fluttering after the older man.
—Captured on Route 215.
Ability: Hyper Cutter
Nature: Hasty
Move Pool: Harden, Knock Off, Poison Sting, Quick Attack, Sand-Attack

Mom s-says it doesn't matter what I w-wear. wrote:Mina stands short, about five feet tall even. She has red hair, which falls to roughly her shoulders and which tucks in. She often keeps her bangs out of her eyes with a white headband and her hair falls plain. She isn't fond of pinning it up or giving it a fancy layered hair cut. Mina's eyes are brown.
Clothing-wise, Mina wears a plain white shirt with a blue jean vest over top of it. Both of these fall to her waist. She wears a gray pleated skirt that falls above her knees and is decorated with wispy black floral patterns on the trim. The top of the skirt is a dark gray. Her boots are also gray and are made of a soft fabric. Rarely, she's seen in more casual girl clothing like t-shirts.

I... I d-don't know... wrote:Mina is shy, quiet and introverted, the complete opposite of her brother, Bedford. Mina has always depended on others to be there (mainly because she hides behind them from people she doesn't know). Mina can be drawn out of her shell with a bit of time and friendliness, however, and she's pleasant for a young girl.
She does, however, get very defensive when her brother is in trouble in any way. She loves her brother, even if he is much older than she is and if there is one thing she is intent on, it is following him in whatever he means to do as his own goals. She can be quite stubborn in this regard.

Training under the hands of Marlene at the Veilstone Gym, Rafael believes in finding your dream and giving it your all. His motto is his life long mantra and he believes that if you don't try your best to go the extra mile, you're not worthy of calling yourself a fighter. This isn't so say he's one to shy away from understanding personal issues, though. Mainly, he stands by dreaming big and going at it.
Name: Jane Delaney — Sleep tight, dears. I love you both.

Trainer Orientation: Neutral Good
Trainer Class: Poké Fan
A born and breed inhabitant of Floraroma Town, Jane moved to Veilstone to get away from the country life, taking only her Bonsly with her. There, she met Rafael and the rest is history. She is very loving, if a bit of a worry wort and overbearing sometimes, and she would do anything for her kids' well being. If one had to compare her to any modern day character... the best comparison to be had is to the likes of Molly Weasley. She has a dream of owning all of the Bonsly.

I know w-where I've been... I still don't know where I'm going. wrote:Born to Jane Delaney, Mina was the second child of her parents. Her brother, Bedford, was the first. Mina spent her young life being the child that hung back and was quite shy. She got picked on a lot at school for this demeanor, and often Bedford would protect his sister, beating up the boys that picked on Mina.
When Mina was young, they took a trip to the beach in Sunyshore with their parents. The days were filled with joy and the vacation allowed Mina to come out of her shell a little, but it would soon backfire. Mina stumbled upon a group of Corphish and their parent Crawdaunts without her brother. The Crawdaunts would rush forward to fend off the child and protect their young, and Mina fled.
The sun began to set and Mina was no where to be found. Eventually, they would find her hiding in a cavern on the western beach. She was in tears and her fear of crab-like Pokémon, and anything with pincers, would stick with her for years to come.
Back home in Veilstone from the vacation, more time would pass, with Mina still remaining the shy one at school. When Mina turned seven, her family took another vacation, though this time to Floaroma Town. Wandering on her own amidst the flowers surrounding the town, Mina found her way out by the Valley Windworks.
There she happened upon her own partner, Biscotti, an albino Buizel. The Buizel had somehow gotten itself stuck in a tree. Mina helped the critter down, standing below and catching it when it dropped down. (Though she ended up falling over herself from his weight.) Mina set the Buizel back on its feet, patted it and turned to go back home.
The Buizel, however, would not stand for it, and followed the girl back. In time, they became fast friends, and the Buizel, whom she named on the return journey to Veilstone, became her partner. She would spend a number more years in Veilstone with her brother, all the while befriending Pokémon.

I'll stay with you because you're my brother. wrote:Mina walked along the pavement, following the sidewalk back home. Her head was tilted down, her hopes completely quashed and her spirit trampled. Biscotti trotted alongside her, trying to catch hold of her hand and make the girl look down at him. The red-headed fourteen-year-old was oblivious to him.
She had been picked on again today. One of the typical bullies in her class had sat next to her and trashed her lunch without warning. Her stomach groaned distantly, still hungry for the food it hadn't been given a few hours ago. On top of all of that, she had left her project at home and had to face the humiliation of telling her teacher this.
Frowning from all of this, she let her feet guide her home.
"Bui!"
"Hush, Biscotti..."
The Buizel, her best friend, leaped up onto her shoulder with one grand motion. Finally, Mina looked to him.
"Bui! Buizel!"
The small otter-like Pokémon pointed ahead. Directing her attention forward to her house. She looked ahead. In a moment, her sadness melted at the sight of a taller, broad shouldered frame sitting just there on the porch. A cigarette was in the man's mouth as he poured over a magazine of some sorts on the porch swing. She broke into a run, headed straight for her brother. When he had returned from his travels, she did not know, but he was always a welcome sight.
"Bedford!"
He looked up at the sound of her voice, glancing to her... and smiled gruffly.
