Bravery is being the only one who knows you're afraid. wrote:Name: Tim Leighton

Starter Pokémon: Chikorita

Bravery is the capacity to perform properly even when scared half to death. wrote: Melanthios [Male Exeggutor] — I used to rule the world.
An incredibly bulshy and overprotective Pokémon, Exeggutor is really quite dumb, often crashing into things, causing more chaos than good and often getting into an argument with itself. That being said, it generally means well when it can and would never attempt to hinder or jeopardise someone on purpose.
—Captured at Faraway Place.
Ability: Chlorophyll
Move Pool: Stomp, Egg Bomb, Wood Hammer, Leaf Storm
Herakles [Male Tropius] — Seas would rise when I gave the word.
A majestic and regal Pokémon, Tropius is incredibly lawful and serves his trainer well, assisting vastly when it comes to rescues and the like, his skills completely useful and needed. Unexpectedly, he is very quiet and to himself, but Tim loves him a great deal and that love is clearly returned.
—Captured at Faraway Place.
Ability: Chlorophyll
Move Pool: Air Slash, Solarbeam, Natural Gift, Leaf Storm
Hyacinthus [Male Cacturne] — Now in the morning I sleep alone.
The mischevious one of the bunch, Cacturne is often playing tricks on his trainer and his comrades, some funny and some completely serious - others so far as dangerous. Although he has a sinister side to him, Cacturne takes pride in being probably the strongest member of Tim's arsenal.
—Captured at Faraway Place.
Ability: Sand Veil
Move Pool: Needle Arm, Cotton Spore, Sandstorm, Destiny Bond
Ofydd [Male Carnivine] — Sweep the streets I used to roam.
Proud to be a Pokémon that stuck out like a sore thumb from Tim's extended cluster of warriors, Carnivine is usually just happy to be around and enjoying the attention he receives, even if that attention is outdone by the likes of Tropius and Meganium.
—Captured at Faraway Place.
Ability: Levitate
Move Pool: Grass Mixer, Crunch, Wring Out, Power Whip
Meical [Male Abomasnow] — I used to roll the dice.
The latest addition to Tim's wonderful six is Abomasnow, who is big, bulky and better than the rest, according to him. With a tendency to be a little over aggressive and tenacious, Abomasnow can often put people off slightly with his I'm-better-than-you attitude, essentially though, he is devoted to helping Tim with his rescues and quite frankly, he does a good job of it.
—Captured at Faraway Place.
Ability: Snow Cloak
Move Pool: Ingrain, Wood Hammer, Blizzard, Sheer Cold
Madoc [Male Meganium] — Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes.
Tim's oldest friend and Pokémon is Meganium, who has shared many memorable moments with him, endured harsh conditions, complicated scenarios and glorious battles, but Meganium is almost as old as Tim now and for a Meganium, that is getting quite old, thus Meganium is slowly losing his touch.
—Captured at Route 01.
Ability: Overgrow
Move Pool: Light Screen, Body Slam, Safeguard, Solarbeam
Bravery never goes out of fashion. wrote:Tim is quite tall in height, ranging at around 6'1'', 6'2'' maybe, a good few inches taller than most of the people he knows, but not overly tall for someone of his age and profession. His skin is a slightly pale colour, with an almost chalk-like complexion. His hair is a shiny chestnut brown colour.
In terms of clothing, he wears a pretty basic lime green t-shirt which has a darker moss green stripe going across his stomach horizontally, however he only wears this shirt when going on rescues. Alternatively, he wears a white and metallic gray striped shirt for socialising and battling in. This is covered up by his signature copper trenchcoat, complete with a golden buckle at the waist. He wears an unexciting black belt to hold his olive green denims in place. Covering his feet are a pair of white kicks, the bottom of which is made of black rubber for both grip and comfort. Mainly for aesthetics, a small three-metre rope is attached to his belt, but it can also be used for an emergency rescue. On top of his head, is a soft, black beret.
Curiosity is one of the forms of feminine bravery. wrote:Brave is one word that could sum up the entirity of Tim Leighton. Completely fearless is another that would heavily describe both his personality and his actions. The owner of his own rescuing society, Tim does what he can to help save and keep safe people and Pokémon alike, with nothing to benefit him except satisfaction in doing so. Even though it is gruelling and tough, united with his Pokémon, he gets the job done.
Tim has many fans in and around Agate Village that look up to and support him, most of whom donate to his society to help with affording new and better equipment for rescues. Tim is polite, as well as outgoing and has generally been brought up well by his supportive mother. His father, however, has always expected better of him.
It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies - but just as much to stand up to our friends. wrote: Name: Walter Leighton — Listen as the crowd would sing.
Age: 70
Gender: Male
Relationship: Father
Trainer Orientation: Chaotic Neutral
Trainer Class: Elder
A famously prejudiced man, he has always favoured Tim's siblings than Tim himself, for whatever inside reason. A very solemn man, Walter has a tendency to keep things bottled up and very much to himself. Revered among the townsfolk as a wise man, nobody really knows or remembers how he came to be an elder, or as such a prominent figurehead in the town. It is clear to many people that he has a very delicate and bitter relationship with his eldest son.
Name: Carl Leighton — "Now the old king is dead, long live the king!"
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Relationship: Brother
Trainer Orientation: Chaotic Good
Trainer Class: Rescue Worker
Constantly overshadowing Tim's success as a rescue worker and manager of a rescue team, Carl is an incredibly hard-working individual with a high amount of ambition and huge adoration for his older brother. Capable of great things, even in the harshest of conditions (which is not rare in Agate Village), he has a very tight bond with his only Pokémon, Marty, who he caught himself in Obsidian Cave. Although highly responsive and very appropriate and sensible, he has a habit of overdressing for the rescues, often sporting an unnecessary cape or thick jacket.
Name: Rosie Leighton — One minute I held the key, next the walls were closed on me.
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Relationship: Sister
Trainer Orientation: Lawful Good
Trainer Class: Rescue Nurse
A third member of the initial rescue team that Tim founded in Agate Village was his younger sister, Rosie. Very professional in whatever she did and very eloquent, she was mostly responsible for the rendezvousing, planning and aerial assistance involved in many of the rescue they did. She left her brothers and father in Agate Village with her Cleffa when she confirmed to herself that the village was in more than capable hands and pursued to elaborate on her already huge success. Now, rather than rescuing the Pokémon herself, she cares and tends to the Pokémon that have already been rescued. She released all but her Cleffa in the hands of the other rescue workers, many of which have been staple in helping with rescue efforts.
Curiosity will conquer fear even more than bravery will. wrote:As a teenager, Tim kept the fact that becoming a Pokémon Rescuer was a dream of his, using it as a tool later in his life to shock his parents. When he was young, his parents, particularly his father would frown upon him, commenting that he never did much with his time except mess around with Pokémon. Now that he is older and spearheading his own society, the tables have turned.
Now his mother has died after a sudden illness and his father is infirm and relies on him, Tim opened Walter's eyes and made him realise that discussing someone's future visibly has some serious repurcussions, including karma it would seem.
Tim Leighton is a household name amongst townsfolk in Agate Village and one that is used in sentences positively, one that resonates hope and goodness. Alongside his brother and sister, the three of them helped found and manage the society in its first days and now his sister has gone off to do bigger and better things with her Pokémon, she often keeps in touch with him. Carl, however, remains the same, stuck by his older brother's side, an experienced rescuer himself.
Agate Village has no law enforcement, so when oppressed by the tyrannical military that is Team Cipher, townsfolk were left to defend for themselves on the prodigious hilltops and dangerous creeks of the hamlet. Combining his own force with that of his brothers and various men and women who work for his society, Tim is relied upon for protection and safety of Agate Village at almost all times - rarely does he get the sleep he needs.

Shadow Vision: Tim is capable of seeing Shadow Pokémon. This equates to him being able to detect the aura of malcontent that surrounds them and perceive it as a purple-ish haze. He is able to see this even in darkness, as it acts almost like the ability to see in infrared.│

In battle it is the cowards who run the most risk; bravery is a rampart of defense. wrote:He thrusted the chair forward, sitting properly at the coffee table, which was chipped in most places and slightly wonky. The chair, uneven on one leg was completely uncomfortable and hard, unsuited for sitting on really, a chair that doesn't do what it should. Tim peered in to his mug, staring at the brown, caffeinated abyss. Coffee has just been made, but he knew it was going to get a whole lot colder; before the sink drank it.
"My son, I would apologise to you a thousand times before you eventually forgive the words I uttered decades ago. Can you not learn to forget and emerge triumphant in this war against your own emotion?"
His father, dressed in his elder robes looked at him pensively. Unphazed, non-negotiating, Tim rose from his seat, his sight locked on the mug of coffee he had been staring at for three minutes now, until he looked to the door.
"I have work to do."
